This golfing holiday is based at the luxury Balaia Village, near Vilamoura, where the apartments are spacious, modern and luxuious with all facilities. The apartments and villas are beautifully landscaped around the original pine, cork and olive trees and have a patio or balcony overlooking one of the three swimming pools and sun terraces. The long sandy Balaia beach is just an 8 minute walk away where there are restaurants and snack bars plus a full range of watersports including windsurfing, hobbycats, pedalos, water skiing and banana-boat rides.

The veranda restaurant and terrace bar is an excellent venue for the evenings with regular entertainment. Each swimming pool has its own snack bar or restaurant and ample sun beds and shades to relax the day away.

Tennis players and golfers are well catered for with four excellent courts and a full time coach for lessons, practice or just arranging partners, and there is a golf driving range with bunkers and a putting green where pratice or coaching is available from the professional.

Balaia Village is only a 35 minute drive from Faro Airport and has more than a dozen top class Golf Courses within 12 to 35 minutes drive.

One week holiday prices are based on flights from Gatwick but there are many flights available from other airports and shorter or longer durations can be quoted on request.

Vilar do Golf, Quinta do Lago Vilar Do Golf is a mature complex of one, two and three bedroom apartments and semi-detached houses set in the heart of the Quinta do Lago estate. Apart from being surrounded by golf courses and on-site amenities including reception, shop, hairdresser, the Bobby Jones restaurant, tennis courts and massive outdoor swimming pool with bar and sunbeds. It is literally a short walk from Vilar do Golf to the clubhouse at Quinta do Lago. The surrounding area is home to some of the very best restaurants on the Algarve. The standard two bedroom apartments have one bathroom and for a small supplement you may upgrade to a superior apartment with second bathroom. Overlooking the spectacular 18th hole is the Bobby Jones bar and grill which is a popular friendly meeting place and where you can have everything from a breakfast to a full a la Carte dinner. Both Quinta do Lago golf courses are a very fair test of golf with wide fairways and generously large greens. Don't forget that before the golfers came this area was a pine forrest. The trees here defy the old adage that they are 90% air and you meet them just a few yards off the fairway. Always in excellent condition, Quinta is suitable for all handicaps and is eminently `walkable' but just in case, there are dozens of buggies available for hire.
